Who doesn’t love a little cookie action?!

These guys are raw (raw cookie dough, yes please!) and taste just like an oatmeal raisin cookie! FO REALS! Using unprocessed sugars (like dates or maple syrup) gives your body nutrients (dates = potassium) and also keeps your stomach from becoming too acidic. Sugar cravings are LEGIT! They are there for a reason. Your body needs sugar to survive. Learning to satisfy those cravings and fulfill your body with what it is asking for via a healthier route is key.

Oatmeal Raisin Cookie Bites 

INGREDIENTS

1.5 c whole rolled oats (gluten free) + 1/4 c
14 medjool dates (pitted)
1/2 tsp coarse ground sea salt
2 Tbsp maple syrup
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 c almond meal
1/2 c raisins

DIRECTIONS

Add 1.5 cup whole rolled oats (save the other 1/4 cup for later), dates, sea salt, maple syrup, cinnamon, vanilla, and almond meal to a food processor. Blend until oats and dates become broken up and well mixed with the other ingredients. Transfer to a mixing bowl. Add the remaining 1/4 cup of oats and raisins to the mixing bowl. Combine and roll into balls. Makes approx. 12 balls.

Note:

-If using a fine grain sea salt, reduce salt by half
-Almond meal can be replaced with oats
-Raisins can be replaced with chocolate chips, dried cherries, etc.
